Message from our President, Ingrid Velez

Dear Garden Club Members:
We’ve got a fantastic year planned for 2013-2014. Under the direction of a very dedicated Chairwoman the Memorial Garden at The Heritage Museum has become the jewel of our Garden Club. Its continued maintenance will be in the willing hands of our “worker bees” for years to come. In conjunction with the Memorial Garden we will be involved with Good Neighbor Trailhead. We’re just starting a garden project at Moton Elementary School that will follow the students for the next six years. Additionally, we’ve been invited to participate in the 100th Anniversary of the Brooksville Courthouse during Founders Week.
For our “long term” Fund Raiser project I’m hoping we can get started on the Second Edition of the BGC Recipes from the Garden.
The upcoming year will bring new & innovative speakers to our monthly meetings. The many field trips planned should be fun and informative for all.
The club will continue to support PHCC Scholarship, Wekiva Youth Camp and 100 Acre Wood. We’ll continue to participate in the Weekend Back Pack program and plant yards for Habitat For Humanity houses.
Let’s open our garden gates and welcome friends and new members in!
